Mindfulness through eating a raisin


This is the exercise we started our mindfulness training with – try it !
Eating Mindfully is very hard for me as I never eat without doing something else at the same time- except when out to dinner with friends or family of course.
During Meditation days which our Mindfulness teacher ran we’d be  silent and would eat lunch Mindfully – this is excruciatingly embarrassing as one is aware of all the noises and chomping and very conscious of how you eat in front of others. My tip is to avoid anything crunchy. It does however mean that you really taste and appreciate the food and eat really slowly as you take one mouthful and put your fork down between bites. Worth a try anyway.
